I will never forget the moment I became a Mumford and Sons fan. It was after a long night downtown with my best friend. We were in the back seat laughing about the night we just had while shoving McChicken Combos down our throats. I should mention that the McDonalds was free so it made this experience that much better. Then all of a sudden my best friend starts yelling at the driver, OMG I LOVE THIS SONG! And she started singing along at the top of her lungs. I so badly wanted to join her but just couldn’t because I had never heard music like this before. So I just sat there dipping my fries in BBQ sauce thinking who is this? And why haven’t I heard of them yet?
She could tell I didn’t know what was going on, so she lowered the music and explained in great detail who these talented musicians were.
She then turned the music back up and we started jamming out to Little Lion Man, jumping around in the backseat and soaking in the greatness that is Mumford. I definitely wasn’t hating this. It was after this experience that my love for music changed.
Since that moment on, Mumford and Sons is still my all-time favourite band. There is never a time that isn’t appropriate to jam out to the entire Sigh No More Album, even if it means taking the long way home. To this day, Sign No More is on the top of my list of albums that hold a place close to my heart. Their music has really evolved over the last few years, but there is just something about that album that I just love so much.
Before falling asleep last night I was scrolling through Snapchat and watched clips from the Mumford and Sons concert in Toronto, over and over again. Unfortunately I didn’t go to the concert, all thanks to Ticketmaster and my bad luck with online purchases, so because of this I have put together a small list of my favourite Mumford tunes to get me through today as I sit at my desk and sulk about not seeing them live last night. I guess this means I’m travelling to Texas to see them then!

I highly recommend that you attend a show. Don’t be like me and miss out on this opportunity because from what I heard it was INCREDIBLE.
Leave me to cry at my desk about this…
