Walking through an exhibit and paying close attention to the artistic details in every piece of art has always been something I have enjoyed. Whether it is a live performance, standing in front of a sculpture or listening and being apart of a musical experience, art has always had a spot in my heart.

One of the most fascinating things about art is that you never know what you’re going to be walking into. I’ve been to many different exhibits and have participated in many different experiences that welcome new, up coming artists as well as well-known timeless pieces.

If asked to choose my favourite work of art, I don’t think I would be able to. There is so much beauty and inspiration behind each piece of arT. My favourite thing about art is that behind each piece is a story and it’s interesting how people can interpret it through their own eyes.

This past week I had the chance to support local artists in my community and attend one of the most interesting art shows yet. Considering many of my art show experiences have been along the traditional side, this one however was not, but still quite impressive.

Held at The Mod Club on College Street in Toronto, RAW Natural Born Artists showed cased a variety of different art forms from Thursday, July 8th to Friday July 9th, 2016.

Live music, paintings, makeup application, photography, digital art and costume design, this exhibit had something for everyone. As I walked through the doors and entered The Mod Club, the energy was overwhelming, but in the best way possible. Overall the vibe was relaxed, laid back as the art spoke for it self. With live music and the coolest ambiance, this exhibit was packed with art enthusiasts.

Take a look at some of my favourite pieces.

The next time RAW is in your city be sure to check them out and support local talent.
