Thanksgiving is a time that is meant to give thanks for the harvest around us. A true blessing to be surrounded by one of God’s special gifts to the world. I have always respected the meaning of Thanksgiving and have made sure that I was thankful for the food on my plate, but to me it means so much more.
Ever since I was a little girl, Thanksgiving has been one of favourite celebrations. It’s a time when you watch the leaves change colours and fall to the ground, feel the cool brisk air as your walking down the street and appreciate the beauty that the season brings.
A time spent enjoying delicious food while being surrounded by the warmth and love of your family. Taking a second to truly appreciate what you have and to thank those who
always lend a helping hand. A time to reflect on what the year has brought and think about how truly lucky you are.
This is what Thanksgiving means to me. I will forever be thankful for the love and support I receive each and every day from my family and friends. I could never do this without their continued efforts to make me smile and remind me how loved I am.
Celebrating Thanksgiving this year is a bit different as my family and I celerabte without my father, but I still have so much to be thankful for.
I’m thankful to have had him in my life all these years to watch me grow and mould me into the person I am today, which just so happens to be so much like him.
I am thankful to have learned some of the most valuable lessons in life from him.
I am thankful for truly understanding the meaning of love and how to love.
I am thankful for understanding and practicing the act of generosity, not to give to receive but to give because you want to.
I am thankful to have learned the importance of family and an unbreakable bond.
I am thankful for always being encouraged to lend a helping hand to whoever needed it, even if I needed it more.
I am thankful to have seen what it truly means to be strong and persevere through any challenge that comes your way.
I am thankful for always being pushed to be the best I could possibly be.
I am thankful for being encouraged to follow my dreams knowing that I would always be supported.
I am thankful for having so many of fathers incredible traits expect for athleticism, which I am sure he is still mad about.
But what I am most thankful for is the most perfect guardian angel watching over me every second of every day.
For that I am forever thankful and could not want anything more.
Happy Thanksgivng Daddy, I love you!
And Happy Thanksgiving to all of you, remember you have so much to be thankful for.
